Battersea dogs and cats home have a reunion every year and this year’s event took place yesterday. It’s basically a fun day for all the family (including their dogs) to celebrate the great work the charity does and to show off some awesome dogs.
At the moment, the home is seeing increasing numbers of Staffordshire bull terrier’s, so they are trying extra hard to educate people about what wonderful dogs they are. With this in mind, there were lots of beautiful staffy’s at the event, and they looked like a lot of fun.
This one certainly found something hilarious :-)
There were a number of dogs on show that needed a loving family to take them home, and all of them are equally lovely. However, I personally fell in love with Kai, who is a stunning Akita. He was such a calm dog and he looked to be loving every minute of being paraded around the show. You can find out a bit more about him here.
There is a dog type for everyone and they all seemed to be at the show. From small fluffy fellas, to huge regal ladies and loads in between.

There were a few different assault courses for the dogs to try and there was a varying rate of success. Some of the dogs were not keen and some of them were over exuberant, running all over the place looking for treats!
There was even a fancy dress competition, and the owners who entered this had certainly made a huge effort. There was a dog in a tuxedo, a builder dog, Elvis and a carnival dog among others.
Some of the dogs were happier than others about being dressed up…
It was a great day and everyone was having fun. However, as the day wore on some of the dogs had clearly had too much fun…
