We woke up to a beautiful morning, the sun was shining and the beautiful colours created by the dying leaves were beaming. We ventured over to Battersea Park to make the most of the day.
As soon as we arrived we were glad we did. The park was buzzing with life, from people playing sports on the fields, joggers making the most of the fresh air to dog walkers giving their pups a bit of exercise. There's also a duck pond, which we stopped off at for a while. Lucy likes to give animals personalities and pretend their having hilarious conversations. While she was doing that I was getting trying to snap a huge Heron.
We'd been walking now for at least 5 minutes, so that called for one thing...coffee break! There's a nice little cafe near the duck pond so we stopped for a warm drink.
After another short walk we stumbled upon a mini Christmas market with a brass band playing Christmas tunes. One old couple had even brought there own patio furniture to relax on, they were obviously there for the long haul!
What are these photos about?
No walk is complete until you've found a gorgeous pub to have lunch in and this walk included a pub called The Lighthouse. It was packed full of a range of people, everyone seemed to really love this place. If you're ever in Battersea, I'd recommend you give it your time (and money).
