I’m lucky enough to still be best friends with the people I went to school with. It’s been amazing growing up with them and watching everyone become the person they are today. We’ve had weddings and now some of them are starting families. This year a whole bunch of the group turn 30, so we spent a great weekend in Cornwall for the first person to do so.
We arrived, threw on our shorts and headed to the beach for a paddle.
There’s a beautiful fresh water pool in Bude, where the sea water collects, which attracts some very brave swimmers. The water was cooooooold!
After heading back and greeting the late arrivals with huge hugs, we grabbed a few drinks put on a few more clothes and watched the sun set by the beach.

As a surprise for the birthday boy, it had been arranged for the group to go coasteering in Tintagel. Coasteering is basically climbing up rocks to then throw yourself off into the water. Obviously I had to take photos so decided against doing it ;-)
While I was walking around above the cliffs the guys were jumping off I was also taking in the beautiful views. There was a haze in the sky, which made it impossible to see where the sky stopped and the sea started, which made it look like an oil painting.
It was brilliant weekend in a beautiful part of the country spent with my best friends. I hope we have many more.
Happy birthday Tim!
