London landmarks as the sun sets and the lights come on

I’ve travelled so much in the last 18 months and taken so many photos of all the new and exciting cities I’ve found myself. One thing I had noticed though is that I’d stopped taking photos of the incredible city I call home. I wanted to make up for that, so I’ve been out with my camera reminding myself this place is pretty beautiful too.

One thing I’ve loved about doing this is the time it’s allowed me to really take in each area. My plan has been to arrive a little before sunset and keep snapping until just after the sun disappears. At this time of year, that takes about 2 hours, which has meant I’ve been able to slow down and take in the atmosphere.

It will always make me happy to see the joy and amazement on people’s (usually tourists) faces when they see the landmarks. It’s all too easy to take London for granted but I will always try to see it as if I’m seeing it for the first time.
