We were after a nice spot of brunch so we decided to try Jamie Oliver’s Recipease in Notting Hill. It isn’t just a cafe/restaurant, it is also a cookery school atthe same time. I’ve always thought it was a great idea but hadn’t taken the opportunity to try it before. This visit was just to eat but we were certainly tempted by the cookery classes on offer.
The food there is great, it’s mainly smaller eats at lunch but it’s full of flavour and not only did it look good it tasted lovely. While we were tucking into our sandwiches there was a very interesting looking cookery class taking place, which peaked our interest.
What are these photos about?
Upstairs is more of a sit down restaurant/cafe and downstairs is an awesome shop, allowing you to take the ingredients home with you to have a go at cooking yourself. Everything feels very rustic and hand-made and the Jamie Oliver brand feels very strong throughout.
We spent a couple of hours in there in total (eating in the cafe and browsing the shop) and we loved it. We even bought a few things to take with us :-)
Even the toilet’s have that cheeky Jamie Oliver personality ;-)
