I was in Victoria and I wasn’t in a hurry to get home. Instead of jumping on public transport I thought I’d have a walk. I headed towards Vauxhall with camera in hand.
Within 10 minutes I was bearing down on the iconic Battersea Power Station. It really dominates the skyline in this area of London.
Just before crossing Vauxhall bridge there is a set of apartments that look really interesting. The symmetry to the buildings attracted me to them.
Vauxhall station is a pretty unique looking structure. It is made of chrome and it has two huge tusks strutting out into the open sky.
I walked for an hour in total and came across loads of unexpected things to photograph. It is one of the reasons London is so great, walk anywhere for an hour and you’re bound to discover some interesting sights. Next time you’ve got some time take a walk and a camera and see what you find.
