We went to the London Wetland Centre on a Sunday to go and listen to a talk by the excellent wildlife photographer David Lloyd (http://davidlloyd.net/). He gave a wonderful talk, taking us through the stories of how he captured his favourite photos, dropping a few tips for everyone to learn from and being very modest.
After the talk I was so inspired I had to stay and try to put some of his tips into practice.
I found out about the talk weeks before hand and so had rented out a telephoto lens to help me snap the wildlife (and the odd plane).
It was a beautiful winter's day, bitterly cold but the sun was shining and the sky was blue, with the odd cloud. As the talk finished the sun was beginning to set, which meant the Wetland centre looked gorgeous.
I had so much fun and I've found a new love for wildlife photography, which if I'm honest I hadn't really cared for before. Now I just need to save my pennies for a new lens ;-)
